We received notice that the episode we filmed for HHI in June will be aired on HGTV on November, 04 at 10:00 PM Eastern. We have not seen this episode so the final product that all of America will see is still a mystery to us.
Unfortunately our friends in Trivigno will not be able to watch this as HGTV is not accessible from Italy. They'll have to wait until we receive our DVD copy.
Be sure to tune into HGTV on the 4th to see a glimpse of Trivigno and Basilicata.
Here is the HGTV link for when they have our episode scheduled.
If you want to learn more about Trivigno and Basilicata look at My Bella Basilicata.com.

Thanks for this info. It was because of your previous post that we started watching Househunters International. It has been enlightening to see the homes available to those looking to buy in a foreign country...and to see the various processes required to do so. We look forward to this glimpse of your town.
Thanks for the heads up. I will actually be at a location with cable and will be able to catch that episode. Can't wait.
Maybe you should throw a big party in the piazza and have a movie night with the spotlight on Trivigno.
I'm sure your friends will get a kick out of the HHI show.
I've been wondering when your episode would air and stopped by your blog a couple days ago hoping for an update. I look forward to seeing your episode. :-)
If you miss the 10 pm time slot it will be on again at 1AM in the morning...for those night owls.
Linda - Unfortunately you can not access American TV in Italy. We will have to wait a few weeks until our DVD copy arrives to be able to have a showing for Trivigno.
Looking forward to a closer glimpse into your town and seeing you both again.
We are looking forward to it!
Hey Bryan, I checked our COMCAST guide (in San Francisco) for Friday, 11/4 and I do not see your episode on any of the HHI shows this Friday. The one @ 7P PST - 10P EST is listed as a "Nicaragua" HHI episode. Of course, our HHI COMCAST guide listings are often wrong. So I'll be watching at 7P PST, and hope the guide is wrong and I can see il suo mostro meraviglioso! Buonagiornata! Giovanni in San Francisco
Giovanni- We don't see the local listings so we can only go by what HGTV tells us. I put the link on the post so we can all keep an eye if it changes in the next few days.
We're not big on the title so we're interested in how this comes out.
Thanks Bryan, don't know how I missed that! I've spread the word here in my neighborhood so we've got a group here in San Francisco anxious to enjoy the program. Buona fortuna!
Giovanni
I just watched the show and loved it !!!!!
Thanks for the information on when it was going to show. You were both great.
Just watched the episode. As a longtime HHI fan, it was interesting to see how they handled the fact that you bought your place well before the episode was filmed. As you can imagine it was very much "scripted reality TV." Nonetheless, it was great to see more of your town and get a better feel for your casa dolce case. I would love to hear more about the filming. Did you really looked at the other two places before you bought yours? Did they give you "lines" to learn? Where did they put all your furniture when you were filming? It was a lot of fun to see the episode after reading both your blogs for several years. Cari saluti, Louise
Hey, great show! You guys looked great and really showcased the town nicely. Of course we are green with envy. We had never watched that show before. I turned on HGTV around 9 and started watching episodes with Henry. When your episode came on at 10, it took Henry a few minutes to realize who he was watching then he was very excited. It must have been a great experience filming the episode.
Il mostro era FANTASTICO! Ho divertito molto. e voi siete stati eccellente! After following your blog di molto anni, it was wonderful to see you both in living color. Like a previous poster mentioned, I too would be interested in hearing actual details re: the entire filming process. E la vostra casa e divina. I recorded the episode and plan to watch it again several times today. My brother and I spoke right after the show and we both agreed your episode was so inspiratonal, we wanted to move to Bella Italia adesso! Ciao...
Wow! We're glad everyone enjoyed the program, the sites in Basilicata and our little place.
Unfortunately we aren't allowed to disclose much about the filming process but suffice it to say that there is no such thing as "reality tv". The film crew was with us for 5 days and the final product is about 20 minutes long.
Thanks for showcasing the city of Trivigno on HHI! I'm actually a relative of the mayor, a few others in town, and a couple of them were featured at the end of the show. I loved seeing the city again since it's been several years since we've been back to visit now. I had to call my mom and sister to tell them and I think we all DVR'd it to watch again.
