Last Friday we left Albuquerque for Ohio and after some very long days on the road we arrived in Bellevue, OH on Thursday night. The 26' rental truck with the car carrier on back handled better than I expected considering the size and weight. We unloaded our furniture into a storage unit near my sister southwest of Chicago on Tuesday and then unloaded my sister-in-law's items in Cleveland yesterday and returned the rental unit.
Truck stops with a diesel truck are a new experience and trying to maneuver and park a long truck and trailer took some extra planning: always look for drive-thru parking. Hotel parking was not an issue but residential areas created problems in IL and OH but Lutheran Churches in both areas were very accommodating and allowed us to park in their lots.
