Back in the USA

Settling in...

We had a rather uneventful flight from Rome to Cleveland, though our check-in experience was one of the easiest ever. All seven of our bags arrived at our final destination and after 24 hours of being awake we finally hit the sack around midnight Saturday.

We are staying at Valerie’s sister’s house where our car and personal belongings have been stored. Since this was a holiday week-end we took advantage of some of the events in Cleveland like enjoying gyros at a Greek Festival (America’s version of una sagra) on Sunday and Monday we enjoyed a small parade nearby celebrating Memorial Day. Nothing speaks of Americana like a parade.

The jet-lag seems to be subsiding and we are getting settled in and have a few weeks of family commitments before we can put a great deal of concerted effort into determining our near future here in the USA.

Wow, so happy to hear your trip went uneventful back to Cleveland, my family and myself lived just right outside of Cleveland in Hudson, Ohio. I will be following once again as you pursue new endeavors in the U.S, Take Care, Diana

Thanks everyone...we are finally adjusting to the time difference, nothing like waking up before 5 AM and trying to keep your eyes open past 9 PM.

Diana - I know the Hudson area, I grew up just north of Stow.

Even though I know you want to be in Italy - I am glad that you are here and that I can spend time with my brother & sister-in-law. I will keep my fingers crossed that you soon can return to Italy so that I can have another wonderful trip there!!!

What a small world we really do live in, we have some friends that just moved back to the U.S about 2 years ago from Italy they lived in Vicenzia, she talks all the time about how time moved at a different pace in Italy.
I know the Stow area very well also as a matter of fact we looked originally to live there but ultimately Hudson won out, now we live in Indiana, I will certainly believe with both of you in genuine happiness in all you come to experience, Great Luck and Welcome Back, Diana
