Codice fiscale in the mail
Saturday's mail brought a letter from the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles with a print-out of for my codice fiscale (see Jan 17 post). This 2 week turn-around was much quicker than anticipated. The cover letter had a print-out of the codice fiscale, which is my temporary card, and the cover letter stated the Italian Ministry of Finance would mail me a permanent card to my home address.
