In the summer of 2004 we began to seek wise counsel from friends about our plans to move to Italy. These friends asked pointed questions about our reasons and how much we had thought through the process but were supportive of our plans.
This fall we began to tell our families, friends and acquaintances of our plans. Most people have been excited about what we will be doing knowing our love of things Italian. Some people have questioned "why?" and our most common response to this is "why not?". It is interesting that you can tell a person's focus in life by their response to our news. Whether they are excited about our bold move or focusing on what I will do for a job gives insight into a persons priorities, I believe.
More and more people are learning of our plans and many want to know how this progresses, yet a reason for this blog.
